PSHE & Careers

PSHE | Curriculum Intent

To develop the character of our students so that they become well-rounded, knowledgeable, empathetic and understanding citizens, who become inspired, to actively support society and their local communities. PSHE also aims to develop the student’s skills and attributes, allowing them to manage their lives effectively now and in the future. Our programme also helps pupils to stay healthy, safe and prepared for life and work in modern Britain.

Careers Education at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School

Careers Lead Mrs Orlandini
At Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and inspiring careers programme that equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make informed decisions about their future. All students participate in careers-focused form time sessions delivered by their tutors, covering a range of topics including employability skills, preparation for the workplace, and work experience readiness.
Full details of the careers curriculum can be found below within each year group’s scheme of work. In addition, every fortnight students have the opportunity to hear from former students through Vesey Voices, our alumni speaker programme. These lunchtime sessions provide valuable insights into a wide variety of career pathways and industries, helping students to explore future opportunities and learn from the experiences of successful Vesey alumni.
Can you support our students and deliver a careers focused talk? If so, please email Mrs Orlandini on a.orlandini@bishopveseys.bham.sch.uk.
