At Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School, we are committed to providing all students with a rich programme of academic enrichment that extends well beyond the classroom. We believe that learning should inspire curiosity, creativity and ambition, and our co-curricular provision is designed to give students opportunities to explore new interests, deepen existing passions and develop valuable lifelong skills.
Since September 2022, the School has further strengthened its enrichment programme through the introduction of a dedicated co-curricular period held once a fortnight on Thursdays from 3.15pm–4.15pm. Activities run across two rotations during the academic year, with each rotation consisting of approximately nine one-hour sessions. This structured approach allows students to participate in a variety of experiences while developing commitment, teamwork and independence.
The co-curricular programme reflects the breadth of interests within our school community and encourages students to think creatively, solve problems and engage with the wider world.
You can find out more about which activities are available for each year group below:
These activities provide students with opportunities to apply their learning in practical and engaging contexts, while also fostering collaboration, resilience and leadership. Whether designing engineering projects, exploring environmental sustainability, developing coding skills or tackling mathematical challenges, students are encouraged to pursue excellence and intellectual curiosity beyond the curriculum.
Our enrichment programme continues to evolve in response to student interests and emerging opportunities, ensuring that all Veseyans can discover new talents, broaden their horizons and enjoy learning as part of a vibrant and supportive school community.
