Celebrating the 2026 A Level results

Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is delighted to celebrate the many outstanding achievements of all their Year 13 pupils in the ‘A’ level examinations this summer. Our young people are going on to further study and training with a wide range of universities (including 7 students to Oxbridge) and outstanding degree apprenticeships. This year, we are proud to announce that 81% of the
grades awarded were at A*-B (the same as 2024 and 2025), reflecting a significant achievement for our students. We also saw an increase in the percentage of students attaining Grades A* and A: an excellent 57%. The average grade per pupil was an A.

Pupils from, the Class of 2026 are going on to study such a broad and diverse range of subjects from Medicine to English and Engineering to Jewellery Design.
It’s important to acknowledge the incredible effort and resilience behind these successes. We are mindful of the personal challenges and adversity many have overcome to reach this point. Our community is built on a strong sense of belonging – something that is so important – and it’s this supportive environment that helps our students thrive.

This is a year group with so many great role models and inspirational pupils who changed our school for the better. We are proud that our pupils exemplify the qualities of well-rounded individuals, balancing their academic excellence with extracurricular and charitable contributions. The year group was really well led by our amazing School Captains; we are very grateful to Sheoli R and
Elliot W for their leadership.
All our staff, governors and friends of the School are to be congratulated on their hard work supporting our pupils so well and ensuring they can progress onto further education and training. Thank you one and all.
Congratulations to all our students on their hard work and success. All our leavers are now ‘Old Veseyans’; don’t forget to join up to the Alumni network here. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 at a special evening celebration for parents and leavers on 15th April 2026 at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
