Celebrating Record-Breaking GCSE Results

We are immensely proud of all the Veseyans receiving their GCSE results today. Results Day is an opportunity to recognise a remarkable group of young people and celebrate the journey they have taken to reach this important milestone.

This cohort has contributed enormously to school life over the last 5 years. Through academic endeavour, sport, music, leadership, service and simply their daily example, they have helped shape the culture, character and values of our school.

Their record-breaking results, with an outstanding 84% of grades awarded at 7-9, 63% at 8-9 and 32% at grade 9, represent far more than academic success alone. Behind every grade lies years of hard work, perseverance and determination, together with the personal growth that comes from embracing challenges and striving to fulfil one’s potential.

There are so many individual achievements worthy of celebration, but I would like to pay particular tribute to the 21 pupils who achieved eight Grade 9s or more. Together, these students amassed an extraordinary 185 Grade 9 grades between them. Four students secured ten Grade 9s: Sam C-T, Thomas H, Hisham R and Aaron S. They were joined by Luke C, Shubh G, Charlie H, Rohan M, Hijaj M, Jai P, Libaan S, Tanay S and Srujan S, who each achieved nine Grade 9s. A further eight students, Syum B, Ayan D, Aahil D, Zaidaan N, James R, Drood S, Timi S and Bhanu Y, each secured eight Grade 9s.

These exceptional outcomes reflect not only academic talent but also sustained commitment, intellectual curiosity and an unwavering determination to excel. They are a testament to the ambition of this remarkable year group and to the support provided by families and our amazing staff throughout their time at Bishop Vesey’s.

We congratulate every member of the Class of 2026 on their achievements and look forward with great confidence to the contribution they will continue to make as they embark upon the next stage of their educational journey.
