Quilter Cheviot is delighted to support growing BVGS Corporate Partnership

The Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School (BVGS) Corporate Partnership has continued its recent growth by adding one of the UK’s largest discretionary investment firms to its membership portfolio.

Discretionary wealth manager, Quilter Cheviot, has become the latest business to throw its support behind the initiative, bringing its extensive investment expertise to the group.

Quilter Cheviot hopes to participate in various events and workshops hosted by BVGS, providing insight on the importance of investing as well as supporting those looking at finance and investing as a future career.

With 12 offices across the UK, Jersey and Dubai International Financial Centre and a wholly-owned subsidiary in Ireland known as Quilter Cheviot Europe Limited, the firm currently has £25.3bn under management (as at 31 December 2020) and is renowned for its tailored approach to investment management.

Focusing primarily on structuring and managing bespoke discretionary portfolios for private clients, charities, trusts, pension funds and intermediaries, the firm has built a strong reputation for building investment portfolios that are tailored to the individual preferences of the client.

Now, as an official member of the BVGS Corporate Partnership, Quilter Cheviot will have access to an expanding networking forum, with opportunities to collaborate with fellow partners.

This recent addition brings the total number of corporate members to 28, with the partnership thriving in recent months, despite the ongoing challenges caused by the pandemic and resulting lockdowns.

David Jupp, Executive Director and Head of Birmingham Office at Quilter Cheviot, said: “We are delighted to have joined the initiative and to begin teaching the next generation the key values of investing as well as assisting those wanting to pursue it as a career.

“This partnership will also enable us to build lasting relationships with the other businesses, whilst supporting the school in whatever way possible.

“As a business, we wanted to join an established networking forum, and after having a conversation with the Development Director at BVGS, Brian Davies, the passion and commitment he had for the initiative was clear to see.

“This commitment combined with the significant growth the partnership has recently experienced made our decision to join the initiative an easy one to make.

“Although initial introductions will have to be conducted virtually until the restrictions lift, we are excited to start working alongside the BVGS Corporate Partnership, offering our financial expertise and services to those who need them.”

Brian Davies commented: “Despite the ongoing challenges, we are continuing to add established and reputable organisations to the partnership, which is a positive sign for businesses looking to build working relationships post-lockdown.

“Quilter Cheviot is one of the UK’s leading wealth managers, which is this year celebrating its 250th anniversary , so to have them join the partnership is fantastic for the existing partners and the future of the initiative.

“Once the lockdown has been lifted, it will be great to have Quilter Cheviot attend one of the many networking events we host throughout the year, and we look forward to working with the wider team in the future.
