GCSE Results Day 2024
GCSE Results 2024
Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is delighted to celebrate the many outstanding achievements of all their Year 11 pupils in the GCSE examinations this summer.
Mr Grant, Head of Year 11 at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School said, “It is really pleasing to see that the GCSE headline figures are at 73% (70%, 2023) 7-9 and 49% (46%, 2023) 8-9. What the figures don’t show is all the effort, resilience and hard work, all the challenges overcome, for every one of our young people. We are very proud of them all.”
Mr Robson, Headteacher, is delighted with the progress the Year 11 pupils have made:
“Students and staff have worked very hard. Together, they have attained a great set of GCSE results. Our Year 11 students have been intelligently led by Head of Year, Mr Grant and Mr Goodwin, Deputy Headteacher i/c KS4 and well- supported by an excellent staff, parent and governing body.”
It is very tough to achieve the highest grades at GCSE. Well done to the three pupils attaining straight top grades; Sai, Ryan and James – that’s a fantastic achievement.
There were 47 students in total, who attained an impressive five or more grade 9s.
“This Year 11 cohort have developed well as young men during their time with us. We are immensely proud of their hard work and achievements. They have played an active role in the life of the school community whether that be as prefects, or through their vibrant contributions to Vesey sports, music and drama. We are very proud of them all and we wish them the very best with their next step in education and training.”
