A Level Results Day 2024
A Level Results 2024
Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is delighted to celebrate the many outstanding achievements of all their Year 13 pupils in the ‘A’ level examinations this summer. Our young people are going on to further study and training with a wide range of excellent universities and outstanding degree apprenticeships.
This year, we are proud to announce that 81% of the grades awarded were at A*-B (80%, 2023) reflecting a significant achievement for our students.
The Class of 2024 are going on to study such a broad and diverse range of subjects. From Aerospace Engineering and Acting to Spanish and Veterinary Science. The most commonly achieved grade by students was an A.
It’s important to acknowledge the incredible effort and resilience behind these successes. While we celebrate these achievements, we are also mindful of the personal challenges and adversity many have overcome to reach this point. Our community is built on a strong sense of belonging – something that is so important – and it’s this supportive environment that helps our students thrive. This was supported by our recent Ofsted report, which affirmed this ethos, that “the school promotes the development of its pupils to become well-rounded, thoughtful adults.”
To achieve straight A*s at A Level is a remarkable achievement requiring a huge amount of hard work and very high levels of consistency. Well done to the 21 pupils who achieved straight A*s; Usairam, Akshith, Karim, Esther, Luke, Jack, Aamina, Tom, Alex, Dominic, Rebecca, Kara, Muhammad, Mesmin, Amar, Martha and Joseph. And well done to Sam, Viraj, Aditya and Karum, who all attained 4 A* grades.
This is a year group with so many great role models and inspirational pupils who changed our school for the better and gave so much to the local community. We are proud that our pupils exemplify thequalities of well-rounded individuals, balancing their academic excellence with extracurricular and charitable contributions.
Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and success. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow and achieve in the future.
Dominic Robson, Headteacher of Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School said: “We are immensely proud of the resilience, hard work and achievements of all our students. They have shown such impressive levels of maturity, and good humour, playing an active role in the life of our school community throughout their time with us, whether that be as leaders and mentors, through charity work or through their vibrant contributions to Vesey sports, music and drama. Our teachers are also to be congratulated on their hard work to ensure our pupils are able to progress onto further education and training. All our leavers are now ‘Old Veseyans’.
